To day trade successfully it is important to know the most likely direction of the market.    Any time I say market please be aware, I am referring to individual stocks as well as the market as a whole. What works in one works in the other.

Knowing the structure of the market gives us this very information.

Markets, especially when that are moving sideways, which is 80% of the time tend to move 2 or 3 days in one direction and then reverse and move 2 or 3 days in the opposite direction.    Now, this is somewhat of an over simplification.....but be aware it is the basis of the way the market trades.  This is one of the day trading secrets that is extremely important to your bottom line.

Why Is This An Important Day Trading Secret?
Let's picture a market that has been moving up.   A little latter I will show you a way to determine the direction mechanically.  For now just picture an up trend which pauses and reverses to the down side......how long can we expect it to go down before turning back up. 2 or 3 days...right! 

 So now we are looking for a reason to buy, and look what happens.   On the third day down, price gives us a CPR up day trading secrets   Now we have a reversal to the up side and it occurred on the third day down. Where do we enter the trade....here is where most traders fail miserably.   They have found the idea trade (it fits all the criteria) that we decided must be present.  So what do they do, they place a order to buy at the market the next morning.   Totally disregarding the risk factor while greed takes over....
